On May 13, 2016, Jolene was admitted to Bellvue’s ICU Hospital. The following day after 2 spinal taps it was determined that Jolene has GBS. She chose to be treated with IV immunoglobulin therapy. She remained in the ICU until June 9, 2016. Jolene then begins intensive Physical and Occupational Therapy. In early autumn she returns to her graduate studies in Psychology at City College City University of New York.
